Accomodation in Asia:
When you are looking for hotel accomodation in Asia, definitely check the website of Agoda. It is a Singapore based company offering a wide range of hotels.
Transport in Bali:
The cheapest way to get around the island is by renting a scooter. The price will be around €4 per day. One remark: make sure you have an international driving licence. Police men regularly make tourists stop to check if they have such a licence. If not, you need to pay a fine immediately (it's for in their own pockets).
Sekumpul waterfalls in Bali:
In many travel guides about Bali you'll find info about the Gitgit waterfalls. The biggest one is 40m high. It's impressive hence many tourists are visiting this place. The same story applies for Munduk. If you want to visit less crowded waterfalls, search for Sekumpul. It is beautiful and counts three waterfalls. And for the more adventurous people out there: you can even slide off and jump off the waterfalls and cliffs!
Kruger Park Safari:
A lot of safari tours recommend to do a 4 day safari in Kruger Park. They say this is the ideal length. Well, I don't really agree with them. In 2 or 3 days you have seen most animals living in the park. In 1 day and one evening safari, I saw every species except the rhinos, just to give you an idea. I agree you'll need 3 or 4 days if you want to drive through all the sections of the national park, but it's definitely not a necessity. So if you have a tight travel schedule, choose for 2 days!
Not only in Simon's Town in Cape Town is a penguin colony, but also in Betty's Bay close to Hermanus. To visit the colony in Betty's Bay you pay only R10 each instead of R70 each at Cape Town. You can get up the path that runs through the pengiuns on the beach. They breed even less than one meter off the path. They are really adorable!
